初中英語語法知識講解∶一般過去時

一、定義

一般過去時是表示過去經(jīng)�；蚺既话l(fā)生的動作或存在的狀態(tài)。

二、用法

① 在確定的過去時間里所發(fā)生的動作或存在的狀態(tài)。

時間狀語有∶just now;yesterday; last week; an hour ago; the other day; in 1982 等。Where did you go just now?She wasn't at home last night.

② 表示在過去一段時間內(nèi)，經(jīng)常性或習慣性的動作。

When I was a child, I often played football in the street.

Whenever the Browns went during their visit, they were given a warm welcome.

三、結(jié)構(gòu)1.肯定形式① be動詞was / were …

② 行為動詞動詞的過去式(動詞過去式分規(guī)則變化與不規(guī)則變化)如 He was a teacher 3 years ago.

Jenny visited Shanghai last month. I went to school at 6:30 yesterday.

規(guī)則動詞的過去式的構(gòu)成遵循以下四個規(guī)則∶

a.直接在動詞后加ed，例如help-helpedwant-wanted等

b.以不發(fā)音的字母e結(jié)尾時，去掉e加ed(即直接加d)，例如like-liked;use-used等

c. 以輔音字母y結(jié)尾時，把y變成i再加ed，例如carry-carried; study-studied等;

d.以重讀閉音節(jié)結(jié)尾，雙寫最后一個輔音字母再加ed，例如∶stop-stopped;shop-shopped等。不規(guī)則動詞的過去式則需要特殊記，例如go-wentcome-came;buy-bought等。

2.否定形式

① was/ were + not

② didn't +動詞原形

如∶ He wasn't a teacher 3 years ago.

① was 或were放于句首② Did + … + 動詞原形……如Was he a teacher 3 years ago Yes, he was. / No, he wasn't.

Did Jenny visit Shanghai last month?Yes, she did. / No, she didn't.
