過去將來時

The Past Future Tense

過去將來時表示從過去某個時間看來將要發(fā)生的動作或存在的狀態(tài)。

過去將來時的結(jié)構(gòu)

A) would + 動詞原形

e.g. He asked me if I would stay here.

他問我是否要待在這兒。

B) was/ were going to + 動詞原形

e.g. No one knew when he was going to finish his homework.

沒有人知道他什么時候會完成作業(yè)。

C) was/ were ( about ) to + 動詞原形

e.g. He said that they were to leave at six.

他說他們將于 6點動身。

She said that the meeting was about to begin.

她說會議就要開始了。

D) come, go, arrive, leave, die 等瞬時動詞，用在過去進行時態(tài)中表示過去將來。

e.g. She told us that she was leavingfor Yunnan.

她告訴我們她將要去云南。

過去將來時的基本用法

1. 表示從過去某一時間看將來要發(fā)生的動作或存在的狀態(tài)。過去將來時在賓語從句里最常見。

He said he would come.

他說他要來。

I thought you would help him.

我原以為你會幫他的。

I didn't know how he would deal with thesethings.

我不知道他會怎樣處理這些事情。

She said that there was going to be a performance in our school tomorrow evening.

她說我們學(xué)校明晚將要有一場演出活動。

2. 一些表示位置轉(zhuǎn)移的詞如go，come，leave，arrive等，可用過去進行時來表示在過去某時看將要發(fā)生的動作或打算要做的事。

He said he was leaving for Beijing that afternoon.

他說他那天下午就要前往北京。

I didn't know when they were coming again.

我不知道他們什么時候再來。

3. 過去將來時經(jīng)常用于表示過去的習(xí)慣性動作。這時，不分人稱，都用would。

Whatever he did, he would use hisleft hand.

他無論做什么，總是用左手。

She would practice playingthe piano whenever she was free.

那時，她一有時間，便去練習(xí)彈鋼琴。

4. 過去將來時還可以用 was/ were about to do sth. 來表示。

The attendant said that the train wasabout to leave.

那個列車員說火車馬上就要離開了。
